Question

Hello,

I hope someone could help me with this, I have a problem when i want to record a stream. The problem is the quality since when I publish an stream it sends a description of the first media that i was sharing when I started to publish. For example, if i publish my stream when i have the camera on it will take the resolution of my camera but even if i change it and start to share my desktop later the recording keeps taking the resolution of the camera (480p) instead of the resolution of my screen (1080p). Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thank you in advance

>From my experience one stream cannot have multiple resolutions. It can either be 480p or 1080p throughout. You can ofcourse record two separate streams in two resolutions and then use ffmpeg to stitch them together factoring in the resolution change. I could be wrong if ant media does it in a different way.

Hello, thank you both.
It is ok, I understand that a recording couldnt have 2 different resolutions but, even if I stop sharing my camera and start to share my screen and also after that I start the recording it is still taking the resolution of the camera (480p). If i am recording just the screen it is not supposed that the recording should have the resolution of the screen(1080p)?  However, the recording have the resolution that i had when I started to publish the stream so I need to stop my stream and start  again the streaming with the screen shared if i want a suitable resolution
