Consultation on deployment environment

Question

I have a few questions to ask:
1. If we use localized deployment, we need to support 3,000 people to watch at the same time. What are the hardware configuration requirements for the server?
2. Whether GPU acceleration is supported using AMD S7150 graphics card and AMD CPU
3. Are there room restrictions on the platform software side?
4. How many interactive videos can be connected simultaneously in a room?

Hi,

1. It is either four 16 core CPU machine or two 32 core CPU machine, the limits are given here: https://antmedia.io/cost-calculator/ , at the table you can see the 16 core machine can support up to 800 viewers in a single instance. These limits are given for non-transcoding, if you enable adaptive bitrate they will decrease.

2. GPU acceleration is officially supported for just Nvidia GPUs and intel quicksync: https://resources.antmedia.io/docs/advanced-use-1

3. If you mean the user count in the room like restrictions, the answer is there are no such restrictions for the software. Only restriction is hardware.

4. Limitless as log as your hardware supports it, however, the browsers can only show you a few video streams because of the high resource usage. With cluster you can have as much user in a room as your hardware limit.

Hope it clears a bit for you.

Cheers
