UmutCYilmaz
Hi Everyone, We plan to organize 4 Hackathons during 2023. It means a lot of fun for this year 🚀 The first one will be during end of March (exact dates will be shared shortly) Let's list all the ideas for the topic of the upcoming Hackathon in March. After we decided about the topic. We'll pick a name for this Hackathon, again together 🙂 Also, we can set some mini challenges! Anything that can be built on top of Ant Media Server can be the topic. Please feel free to share your ideas 😉 Best, Umut
asharamseervi
Hi Umut, Thanks for taking the time and updating us about hackathons; we're very much excited about the upcoming hackathon! Absolutely love the idea; build top of AMS; also mini challenges! Whatever it might be; anyone may pick building Spotify with AMS as the back-end; or YouTube; or 1:1 Mentorship app Video/Audio only conferencing apps! Or anyone can explore building a Connector or might hack on Integrations with Ant Media like Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Speech Recognization with AMS! Implementing Artificial Intelligence, or somebody may hack on migrating content from another platform to AMS seamlessly by sweetening core features! Oh my Gosh! There is absolutely no horizon! And, 100s of possibilities around streaming; & media engines! I loved the part you added; mini-challenges! Challenges might be picking any of raised issues on GitHub, and solving them! Challenge + Contribution (Win-Win)! Thanks
UmutCYilmaz
Asharam, thanks a lot for the contribution! I loved your mini-challenge idea! We can do that during all Hackathons, it is definitely win-win! Also, I think you have very good ideas for the general topic, it makes me think that may be we shouldn't limit the participants this time. There might be a heading and subheadings, participants can freely choose a heading or subheading. What do you think @Burak @asharamseervi But, I want to see some apps or plugins for gaming, just wanted to mention 🙂
asharamseervi
Thanks Umut for kind words & liking mini-challenge idea; what I see, this mini-challenge (sprint) can be organized by 1 week prior or it can stay for 1 week timeline for contribution! This will definitely gain more exposures to participants about AMS ecosystem! This engagement will be definitely fruitful; during hack-time, while submission or drafting documentation; while presenting their submissions & cross-questions! If the participant is student, best part of gaining knowledge around streaming world & this contribution is way more helpful in their career, kind of milestone, if their PR is merged! I agree, as a community member I also would like to see add-ons or Integrations for AMS, and definitely gaming as well as or AI/ML related stuff. UmutCYilmaz
Okay then, we have the first mini challenge available. Something that we can remove from the to do list 🙂 What do you think about not limiting the participants? I also want to see some gaming apps, AI/ML related stuff would be great. But participants will be able to list their apps, plugins on the Ant Media Marketplace. This shouldn't be forgotten, there will be an opportunity for them to monetize their effort. We can even keep the same name - Real-Time Streaming Hackathon - we might add vol2 at the end though 🙂
