Is there a way to VOD from remote network folder (whitout uploading the file)?

For legal restrictions I can't upload the files to AMS, is there a way to stream from a remote folder or and ftp url?

Hi @miguel.chillitupa,
You can directly link the directory containing VOD files on the ant media server web panel under the application settings.

You can enter the path under VoD Streaming Folder that is situated under Advanced settings.

Also if you have them available over, You can directly use the URL to create a playlist

Yes, you can include the remote URLs of your mp4 files in a playlist. You can, for example, store your files in cloud s3 buckets and use the URL in playlist.

Technically if you share the file via a url (served over a Http server) ant media server might just treat like any other url.

I found the streaming folder config and is working fine.

By the way, the link provided doesn't have info about the creation of a playlist, it's more like a quick start page.

Hi I have the following problem:

I'm using the linkked directory and is not working with files with this kind of name:

when I try to play those files it never starts and gives an error: 

When I rename the file name (in the folder) from "TML-12693-2-20221229-062004.mp4" to "20221229-062004.mp4" it starts to play without problems:

Is this a bug? any fix?
