Cannot connect to livestream on virtual Ubuntu machine

Question

Hello!

My goal is to get an OBS live stream from my physical Windows 10 computer to stream to the ant media server running in Oracle VirtualBox. I have a virtual machine running Ubuntu 16.04.6 64-bit running ant media server and have successfully started a livestream by following these instructions:

I've created an account, started a new livestream by (LiveApp, New Live Stream), split and enter the URL and stream key into OBS, and click Start Streaming in OBS. I get a message about OBS not being able to connect. Does this have something to do with the IP on the virtual machine running ant perhaps? If you could offer any advice I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi Jesse,

Could you please share your OBS settings screen? How did you enter the streaming url?
Can you reach the ant media server management console from the browser of the Windows 10?

Best regards,

Murat,

Thanks for your response. It ended up being an issue with the Virtual Box network settings. I switch to Bridged Adaptor and it worked.
