Server Hardware and Network recommendations

Question

Hello,

we are considering using the AMS Enterprise for us. It is about 10 parallel RTMP inputs which should then be distributed to a total of approx. 500 spectators. Now the question arises whether we should do it through AWS or host it ourselves. How can we find out which hardware and network capacities are required, and how high the traffic would probably be?

Hi,
For more than 500 viewers and 15 publishers, we recommend at least having 8 vCores (2.3 GHz), 30 GB memory, 500 Mbps of bandwidth. If you choose to host on AWS our recommendation is to get something as powerful as t2.2xlarge. The requirements don't change if you host it yourself.

Best,
