WebRTC playback very jittery

Question

I created a test setup with the hosted small EE setup.

The stream is created via OBS from a video feet, using various settings for RTMP encoding.

Then using the WebRTCAppEE to transcode this to WebRTC. I embedded the WebRTC player from play.html into a page on my website.

Streaming works works fine and latency is good. However, anytime there is a lot of motion in the frame it jitters heavily, like to alternates between newer and older frames. Very hard to watch. Sections of the video that have little motion seem to be ok.

I've tried different streaming bandwidths from the default 2,500 to 8,000 and it seems to have little impact.

Any ideas on how to tune this?

Thanks,
Jan

Hi Mark,

Of course.

Encoder: x264
Enforce streaming service encoder settings: off
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: 10000kb/s (for 1080p, for 720p we found 6000kb/s to be ok)
Use custom buffer size: off
Keyframe interval: 1
CPU: very fast
Profile: baseline
Tune: zerolatency
