AMS only one ip No SSL

Question

Hello, I need to know if "Enterprise Edition" allows to use very low latency as follows:

AMS Enterprise Edition installed on Google Cloud VM accessible with only one ip (No SSL (is one ip))
Transmission to AMS from OBS (RTMP)
AMS (low latency) player on my website with SSL

I tried AMS less than a year ago and it did not meet my expectations. I want to try again to see the changes. And I need to know if for the low latency test I should have a domain and ssl on the server AMS is running on.

Thank you very much for the help.

Oscar

Hi Oscar,

The SSL is needed in order to publish using WebRTC and WebRTC is needed to achieve ultra-low latency. When using RTMP to WebRTC path the usual latency is about 2-3 seconds. There won't be any problems using your setup unless your website and AMS are far from each other if not on the same machine.

Please let me know if you encounter any difficulties.

Best,
Asim
