I have Ant Enterprise (with a 14-day trial key) installed on a Google Cloud VM: machine: e2-standard-2 (2 vCPUs, 8 GB memory) Premium Network Zone: southamerica-east1-c (San Pablo, Brazil).
I stream with OBS, 1080/30 2500kb / s I configure WebRTCAppEE in 1080p 2500kb / s
1 single transmission 1 single player!. (I transmit with my camera, my partner looks in the office).
Cloud server jumps to over 80% workload !, with spikes of 110%, 120% Is this load on the server logical?
Initially the latency is 3 seconds. Video ok. On several occasions the video was cut. It may be due to instability of the connection. But Ant does not regain latency!
I explain: Connection OK, video OK, Latency 3 seconds. good. Unstable connection, pixelated video, latency 10 sec. wrong. Connection OK again, video OK, Latency 10/15 seconds !!. It does not return to 3 seconds! Very bad !. Why does it not recover the latency of 3 seconds if the connection is already stable? I say: It is foreseen in WebRTC that the video will advance to resume the correct latency.
I tried AMS a year ago, and abandoned for problems that seem to be solved today. I liked the changes I found. It is very noticeable that there are many advances. I don't recall having latency issues on my previous tests.
