Monitor Ant Media Server

Hello,

Im trying to get the monitoring via Kafka running but I seem to run into issues right at the beginning.

Before that Im running the Community edition on Ubuntu 18.04.

The issue starts when I try to check the AMS Kafka settings. Testing the command shows no data flow.

Zookeeper runs, Kafka seems to be able to connect to the Zookeeper just nothing gets to it from AMS.

I tried a bunch of IP addresses, from just :::9092 to localhost:9092 to the server IP and even domain but nothing makes it show up data.

Creating a topic in kafka and reading that works.

Any assistence on that would be nice.

Not sure if its just an enterprise feature, if you need a separate server for it or if that guide is missing important steps.

I see that its just over a week old.

Hi Florian,

AMS officially supports Ubuntu 16.04 so you can try it on a different os. Apart from that, you might have forgotten to open your ports. Please check if those solves your issue.

Hi Florian is the solution works for you? im trying set up this monitoring tools as well  are you seperated your ams server and monitoring server on this project or are they're in just one instance?

No, we never tried to downgrade our Ubuntu and we never attempted further troubleshooting with the community edition at that point.

If it helps it was the same server.
