Question

when using ant media server right next to another streaming service, ant media server has mildly lower audio quality. i'm trying to troubleshoot that. what is the default bitrate when streaming audio only? if i don't have anything added under the adaptive bitrate page, what is ant media server's default behavior for audio streams?

Hi All,

Thank you for the great questions :)

Without changing any parameters, will the server reduce the bitrate if it notices any bandwidth issues?
No. Ant Media Server does not reduce the audio bitrate.

If I want to change audio bitrate then what parameters I have to pass.

You need to set settings.audioBitrateSFU parameter in /usr/local/antmedia/webapps/<Application-Name>/WEB-INF/red5-web.properties file.
Also please check:

I hope, I could help you both.

Best Regards,
Selim

Hi jwsl224,

I already wrote how can you increase this parameter by default. You need to change/add settings.audioBitrateSFU parameter in red5-web.properties file  After the changes parameter, you need to restart Ant Media Server with sudo service antmedia restart.

If you still getting an issue with this parameter, our support team can help you with this issue. You need to contact us at support@antmedia.io.

Best Regards,
Selim
